ORGANIZE YOUR EVENTS AT THE CERNUSCHI MUSEUM

Main hall
The Cernuschi Museum, the City of Paris’ museum of Asian arts, specialises in Chinese art and archaeology, from ancient origins through the 13th century.

It was built by a unique individual, Henri Cernuschi, who bequeathed his collection of Asian art, acquired over a long voyage around the world (from 1871 to 1873), including a particularly striking large bronze Buddha brought back from Tokyo.

Thanks to the implementation of a wise and constant acquisitions policy since its opening, the museum possesses a remarkable set of ancient Chinese art. Its collection of Neolithic pottery, jades, ivories, archaic bronzes and funerary statuettes help place it among the most important Asian art museums in Europe.

The museum re-opened its doors in June 2005 after a complete renovation and the enlargement of its exhibit spaces. It is located in a beautiful, charming residence nestled amid greenery off of Malesherbes Boulevard at the entrance of Monceau Park. Cocktail parties and other types of receptions take place on the first floor in the majestic Hall of the Great Buddha, amid the works on display. Other rooms are reserved for visits. All rooms look directly over the trees of Monceau Park.

Dinner

The musée Cernuschi is available for the organization of your events in the evening, after the closing time.

Dinners, cocktails and receptions can be organized in the main room of the museum (Meguro buddha room) while the collections and temporary exhibitions remain accessible for your guests to enjoy during the evening.

The museum can accommodate up to 350 people for a cocktail and 100 people for a dinner.

Seminaries, conferences and movie projections take place in the conference room, next to Meguro buddha room. For safety reasons the number of people allowed in the conference room is limited to 50 people at a time.

Private visits of the collections can also be organized.
