The Cernuschi Museum, the Asian art museum of the city of Paris, specializes in the art and archaeology of China, from their origins to the 13th century. The museum was constructed by an uncommon individual, Henri Cernuschi, who installed within it his collection of Asian art, which he acquired over the course of a long voyage around the world (1871 to 1873) and which notably includes a very large bronze Buddha taken from Tokyo.

Due to a judicious and constant acquisitions policy since its opening, the museum possesses a remarkable collection of ancient Chinese art: Neolithic pottery, ivory, jades, archaic bronzes, and funerary statuettes that situate the museum among the most important Chinese art museums in Europe. The museum reopened in June 2005 after a complete renovation and enlargement of its exhibition spaces.

Set off of Boulevard Malesherbes and at the entrance of Parc Monceau, the museum is a beautiful and unobtrusively charming institution surrounded by greenery. On the first floor, cocktail parties and various receptions are held in the majestic Buddha gallery in the middle of the works on display, as well as in the other galleries dedicated to the permanent collection. All rooms look out directly on to the trees of Parc Monceau.

The museum can host 350 people for a standing cocktail event and 100 people for a sit-down dinner. The cocktails and dinners take place in the Buddha gallery, the other galleries available for viewing.

Seminars, conferences; and screenings take place in the conference room next to the Buddha room, on the same floor. For security purposes, the number of people authorized in the conference room is limited to 50 people.

Private visits of the exhibitions can be organized. Evenements et réceptions
