The museum’s visitors’ department helps students familiarise themselves with Chinese civilisation. In one or several sessions, through exhibitions, workshops and talks, the young people are provided with the keys to understanding Chinese or Far Eastern cultures.

Two types of tours of the collections and exhibitions are available:

  • self-guided group tours, either led by a group leader (e.g. a tour guide or specially trained docent, or a teachers with their pupils) or without a leader.
    Duration 1½ hours, permission to speak: €30 + exhibition entry price / free entry to collections. Groups of 25 people maximum
     
  • guided tours in groups with an official Cernuschi Museum guide, in French or English.
    Duration:  1½ hours - Reduced price: €65  + exhibition admission /free entry for collections. Groups of 25 people maximum

The Cernuschi Museum has a library, accessible by appointment only to researchers and students working on a research project.

The library holds a collection of reference works, directly related to the study of the Cernuschi Museum’s art collections – principally Chinese and Japanese but also Vietnamese and Far Eastern.

It has a freely accessible reading room with 11 desks, equipped with computer sockets and a wi-fi connection.
